Colorado Pediatric Trauma Conference

The Colorado Pediatric Trauma Conference provides education regarding state of-the-art care of the pediatric trauma patient, including several topics on child physical abuse. This program will be of interest to MDs, RNs, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, EMS providers and aero medical personnel. This conference offers CME, CNE, and EMS continuing education credits. Western Pediatric Trauma Conference

Experience Colorado's Rocky Mountains at the Western Pediatric Trauma Conference 2013 featuring nationally renowned faculty representing specialists in the fields of pediatric trauma, the pediatric surgical sub-specialties, critical care, emergency medicine and pre-hospital. The program is targeted to physicians and health care professionals who care for injured children.

This conference is presented by Children's Hospital Colorado, Intermountain Primary Children's Medical Center and Phoenix Children's Hospital.

Emergency and Trauma Outreach Symposia

These symposia offer physicians, nurses, pre-hospital providers and other health care team members the latest guidelines for pediatric practice recommendations through patient centered presentations and hands on skills training. We take Children's Colorado on the road and bring education to your community. These symposia offer CME, CNE, and EMS continuing education credits.

Children's Burn Update

When: October 10, 2013 from 8 a.m. to noon

Where: Children's Hospital Colorado Conference Center - Mt. Princeton

This half-day event is presented for nurses and other interested staff who provide care to burn injured patients. 3.25 nursing CE credits will be offered.  No fee for attending this program. No registration required. Topics include: burn injuries, inhalation injuries, nursing/wound care, OT/PT, social support, resources, and nutrition.

Juvenile Firesetting Conference

This conference will provide the opportunity to draw upon the expertise of a multidisciplinary faculty covering topics ranging from prevention, assessment, investigation, legal involvement, intervention and treatment as well as contemporary considerations and skills building. The program is designed to bring together all members of the professional community engaged in providing services to this complex population of children and families, to expand our working knowledge, and to enhance our networking system.

Annual EMS Conference

Children's Hospital Colorado is a certified EMS Training Group and provides Colorado’s largest pediatric education conference for EMS Providers. This annual conference is always held the last Thursday-Friday of January. Optional PALS certification or recertification is available.

Multidisciplinary Trauma Lecture Series (MTLS)

Pediatric trauma care is a constantly changing and complex science. This lecture series will address the multi-disciplinary team who cares for trauma patients by providing increased awareness of advances in specialty care such as plastic surgery, critical care, orthopedics and others using case-based discussions, care protocols, and continued surveillance for patient outcomes. Lectures are held from 12 to 1 PM at the Children's Hospital Colorado the third Monday of each month, except January and February to do holidays. Telecom broadcast available. This series offers CME and CNE continuing education credits.
